Welcome to the online home of Food Secure Canada (FSC), a new Canadian organization which works to unite people and organizations working for food security nationally and globally. Here you can learn more about FSC and the work of our members, hear about new publications, other news and events, and most importantly, how to join FSC.

To set the organization's plan of work, you must be a member! FSC needs members from many sectors to be effective, including housing, health, social policy, transportation, agriculture, education, and community, cultural, and charitable groups, and businesses. Please join us!

National Assembly 2008

The 2008 National Assembly will be held between November 13th and 16th in Ottawa. Registration details will be posted here as soon as they are available.

Steering Committee election

The Steering Committee election is now complete. All the nominees to the Steering Committee received more than 50% of the votes, so it has been agreed to expand the committee; we are also continuing to seek representation from the food security movement in Québec.
