The Steering Committee met on February 14th, 2008 (via teleconference)
Present: Stuart Clark, Karen Fyfe, June Kinniburgh, Cathleen Kneen (in the role of Chairperson), Mustafa Koc, Glen Koroluk, Elisa Levi, Joan Norberg, Shawn Pegg, Katherine Pigott (Minutes), Susan C. Roberts, Wayne Roberts, Pierre Verrault

The agenda included a motion to raise membership fees in view of the financial situation of the organization and the need to prepare for our National Assembly in November, 2008. It was, however, agreed that fees could be negotiated so that they do not present a barrier to membership.
The following Officers were elected:

Pierre Verrault – Vice-Chair
Katherine Pigott – Secretary
Meagan Peasgood – Treasurer
Stuart Clark – International Food
Shawn Pegg – Zero Hunger
Elisa Levi - Healthy and Safe Food
Agreed to postpone election – Sustainable Food Production and Distribution.
The next meeting will be in early April. Members with issues or concerns are urged to contact any member of the Steering Committee to have them brought forward. At that meeting we will decide on the exact dates and location of the National Assembly. Winnipeg has been suggested as an option, but there is also some feeling that this one needs to be in the East. We are open to offers!
