Food Secure Canada works to develop projects and campaigns of interest to our members, including those related to housing, health, social policy, transportation, agriculture, education, and community.

Initial Action Agenda
In October 2005, delegates to the 3rd National Food Security Assembly in Waterloo, Ontario, developed an initial action agenda for Food Secure Canada (FSC)/Sécurité Alimentaire Canada (SAC), focusing on research and policy development; strategic alliances and capacity building; education and outreach; and advocacy. The Manitoba Food Charter had a formal signing ceremony in Winnipeg at the end of May. More than 30 groups signed on. Many organizations and individuals who have signed are working on developing their own policies and practices to comply with the commitments in the Charter.
