Food Sovereignty

Food Sovereignty is a concept used increasingly by the global movement for justice and sustainability in the food system, led by La Via Campesina but used also by many other groups. This forum will look at the ideas expressed in the language of food sovereignty and see how they relate to the way in which Food Secure Canada thinks about food security.

Indigenous Food Sovereignty

A Working Group on Indigenous Food Sovereignty has been set up within Food Secure Canada. Any member is welcome to join.

Dawn Morrison has completed the report of the Working Group on Indigenous Food Sovereignty in BC.
